Superpowered Society is all about how main stream (and non-main stream) superheroes have a mutual relationship with society. While superheroes may be fictional characters, they are a reflection of the things we value in today’s Modern American Culture. They impact the way we think, how we treat one another and how we see ourselves in the world.
This is not about today’s pop culture, but there may be references to it. Expect rhetorical analysis, sociological trends and discussing parallels of who superheroes are, what they represent and the challenges society faces when these characters become a part of everyday conversation.
Perspective is key, so please participate engage and don’t hesitate to share your feelings towards the topics discussed!
